I have worked in Blue Teams (defence) as a senior analyst, helped build "Security Operations Centre" (SOC) environments, selecting and implementing cybersecurity solutions such as "Security Information and Event Management" systems (SIEMs) and "User Behavioural Analytics" (UBA) systems which use machine learning algorithms to understand any given environment.
I have worked as a Consultant on technical defences for multi-million-pound businesses and their customers, written auditing solutions for Active Directory networks, Local Administrator management and general process automation, consulted on technical defences, people defences, application architecture, governance, incident response, cybersecurity training, designed and presented secure web development training.
I can engage with higher management and board members, explaining complex real-life technical risks, conceiving and delivering pragmatic solutions.
I have worked in Offensive Security as a Security Engineer. Social engineering my way into businesses, and sometimes only taking moments to compromise their entire domain. Besides extensive general knowledge of Information Technology, I am at home hacking into web applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), system infrastructure, IoT devices, and am experienced in testing IT systems onboard cruise ships.
I contribute to the cybersecurity community and have produced various security testing tools and made them publicly available.
I have been a mentor to those in defence and offence and am happy to share my self-taught and hard-earned knowledge with those willing to learn.
